Time after Time, Space after Space

edited by Bruna Roccasalva

“Performance art is adaptable and eclectic, with a hundred different facets. Rather than focus on just one, Time after Time, Space after Space has tried to juxtapose different visions of this form of expression and different approaches to it, describing what it has been, how it has changed, and what it may become, in relation to other languages, to the viewer, to art history.”
Bruna Roccasalva

The Time after Time, Space after Space catalogue documents the five performances held at the Museo del Novecento of Milan as part of the Furla Series #01. Time after Time, Space after Space. The protagonists were Alexandra Bachzetsis, Simone Forti, Adelita Husni-Bey, Christian Marclay and Paulina Olowska. The volume opens with a text by Bruna Roccasalva that explains the origin and nature of the project and five introductory essays about the artists who participated. Helga Christoffersen, Jean-Pierre Criqui, Hendrik Folkerts, Aram Moshayedi and Joanna Zielińska each analyze the work of the artist with special attention to the specific approach to the performance.

The volume, published by Mousse Publishing, includes extensive photographic documentation of the performances that were held in the Sala Fontana at the Museo del Novecento.
